And who do you think is the third party who benefits most from the Ynion-Mabilog rift?

After learning of his boss, Mafioso Rommel Ynion’s orders for a slow down in the attack against Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, Iloilo City’s number one Presstitute, Manuel “Kerida King” Mejorada feared not for his life, but for his pockets. “Oh no! No one to attack, no mercenary mission, no money! Oh, no! Gotta make them fight!” (Note: Ynion has been sending some “feelers” to Mayor Jed but Kerida King insists there is none and never will be because the moment the two became friends, Kerida King will be without a job. Whilst the two are at loggeheads, he benefits most)

And so, to keep the money pouring, Kerida King has to invent a scenario that would force Ynion into the news and thereby have a reason to keep him writing in defense of Mafioso Ynion. When the “strafing” issue didn’t bite with the public, he now decides to lob a grenade in his boss’s house Bali Suites so that he could still get paid ranting and raving over the airwaves that Iloilo City is not a safe place to be.

Haay… iban naman bi nga drama. Katalaka!

Third group to gain from continued Mabilog-Ynion rift

By Lydia C. Pendon

http://www.facebook.com/notes/lydia-pendon/third-group-to-gain-from-continued-mabilog-ynion-rift/136869376408718

ILOILO CITY – A third group may possibly not happy with the Mabilog-Ynion ceasefire and wanted to continue the animosities between the two in order to gain monetary rewards.

This was confirmed by Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog on Monday, September 5 by claiming he has no ill motive and reason whatsoever in ordering the early morning bombing of Bali Hotel owned by his critic, businessman Rommel S. Ynion.

Mabilog said there is always a possibility of a third group not wanting a peaceful coexistence between him and Ynion and would gain from the continued rift between the two.

The mayor’s statement was collaborated by Iloilo City Police Office chief, SSupt. Marietto Valerio in admitting that a comprehensive investigation is going on headed by Supt. Orly Gabinete to determine all angles in the bombing of Bali Hotel. The scenario of a third group will be investigated he said.

Valerio said a safety pin of a fragmentation grenade was recovered by the police and there is also a possibility that the August 26 straffing of Ynion’s house at Puerto Real subdivision is related to the bombing of the hotel. No one was hurt in both incidents.

The police said that three security guards were inside the hotel premises and one security guard supposed to man the front area was at the comfort room when the bombing occurred around 4:00AM.

Valerio said the incident is an isolated case and appeals to the local business community to trust their police. He also said that checkpoints are being conducted everyday to step up campaign against hired assassins and persons out to create chaos and disorder in the city.

Mabilog said that he has asked the help of the National Bureau of Investigation and the Criminal Investigation and Detection (CIDG) to help in the investigation on top of the ICPO initiatives.

Mabilog reiterated that he has no motive against Ynion and the businessman’s actions lately have started to minimize attacks by blocktimers allegedly paid and maintained by  by Ynion.

The house straffing and hotel bombing only came after a lull in the radio attacks against him, the city mayor said.

City Hall turns over P500,000 worth of feeding supplies to Daycare Centers

THE Iloilo City Local School Board turned over P500,000 worth of feeding supplies to daycare centers and public elementary schools during the flag ceremony at City Hall Monday.

Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog said the city’s supplemental feeding program will be continuously implemented until the yearend even as he assured that the City Government will allocate a budget for the same next year.

“We want to uplift the nutrition and education status of our pupils and reduce the number of malnourished schoolchildren, thus we have to continue supporting the feeding program,” he stressed.

The feeding supplies include oatmeals, sardines, sugar, biscuits, noodles and powdered milk.

The beneficiaries are daycare centers of barangays Rizal Pala-pala, Bonifacio Tanza, and San Agustin in City Proper.

The recipients also include A. Mabini, A. Bonifacio, Rizal and and Manuel L. Quezon Elementary Schools, also in City Proper. Daycare parent Maribel Cabrillos and A. Mabini Elementary School Principal Franzinia Cabaluna expressed gratitude to the City Government for extending the feeding initiative for the benefit of schoolchildren.

The turnover ceremony was also led by Ma. Mathilde Octavio, executive assistant for education, and city schools division superintendent Dr. Nelly H. Valerio. (Iloilo City PIO)

Danny Fajardo nasupalpal liwat, wa ha ha ha!

Mabilog comes clean over Tigbauan mansion

BY JEZZA NEPOMOCENO

Danny Fajardo's reporter is a better journalist than him. Danny is good only with kiss-ass journalism, a new genre endemic and prevalent only in Iloilo City.

ILOILO City – Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog’s mansion in Las Conchas Del Mar Subdivision, Brgy. Namocon, Tigbauan, Iloilo was acquired long before he became the city mayor, his spokesperson clarified.

The city mayor’s liaison officer for political affairs Jeffry Celiz said the mansion was a conjugal property bought year after Mabilog was elected as city councilor in 2004.

Based on the 2006 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN) of Mabilog, the house and lot in Tigbuan worth P1.44 million was acquired in 2005.

“There is no truth to reports that the property was bought during the mayor’s first year in office.

It was acquired way back in 2005 when he was still a neophyte city councilor,” Celiz explained.

Apart from the aforementioned mansion, Mabilog owns another residential house in Tigbauan.

The other one was worth P1.48 million and it is adjacent to the first property.

Celiz said Mabilog, as a public official, has been very transparent in all his dealings, especially in declaring his properties and debts.

“The mayor is not hiding his properties, and even his liabilities, from the public. However, we are saddened that these properties were being tainted by malicious imputations,” Celiz said.

The mansions in Tigbauan are currently being occupied by Mabilog’s relatives.

Mabilog and his family are permanently residing in Brgy. Tap-oc, Molo district here.

Meanwhile, Mabilog’s net worth as of December 2008 reached P42.3 million. Mabilog’s SALN for fiscal year 2009-2010 has not yet been disclosed to the press.

All public officials are required to submit their respective SALNs in the Bureau of Internal Revenue annually pursuant to Section 6 of Republic Act 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees./PN

ILOILO CITY – Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog is pursuing the construction of a 40-bed capacity Iloilo City Hospital annex costing some P25 million designed for indigent city residents inside the compound of the Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC) in Mandurriao district.

Construction is ongoing of the P25 million two-storey structure in an almost 3,000 square meter lot and expected to be completed before the end of the year. Recently, Senator Juan Ponce Enrile assured Mabilog of the senator’s assistance from his priority development assistance fund (PDAF).

Similarly, Ilongga Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago and city congressman Jerry P. Treñas assured funds for the hospital construction from their PDAF on top of the city government budget.

Mabilog is also eyeing a third floor expansion of the hospital annex to be constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The city hospital is envisioned to serve an initial batch of 55,000 beneficiaries registered by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) with the city government paying the premiums.

A Memorandum of Understanding on the construction of the hospital wing was likewise, signed in 2010 between the Iloilo City government led by then city mayor and now congressman Treñas and WVMC headed by its director Dr. Jose Ma. Fermin.

Iloilo River Development Projects underway: No less than P200 million from DPWH

DPWH sets P200M for Iloilo City river projects
By: Lydia C. Pendon

SENATOR Franklin M. Drilon, together with City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and lone district Representative Jerry P. Treñas met last Friday officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio Singson and Regional Director Evelyn Barroso to discuss the implementation of various river park projects worth more than P200 million starting this year.

The funds will be sourced out from the priority development assistance fund (PDAF) of Drilon and DPWH regular budget for projects with some assistance from foreign agencies.

The DPWH says the priority river projects include the cleaning and removal of sunken derelicts in the river, removal of fish pens, ceasing of operations of establishments that contribute water pollution, dredging of the Iloilo River and its tributaries, and upgrading of the existing Treñas Boulevard.

DPWH has already dispatched the Dredge Visayas 2 dredging equipment while sandbagging of the temporary disposal site for the dredged materials is almost complete.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod recently approved a resolution allowing a portion of an area near the Quirino Lopez Bridge beside the Iloilo provincial Capitol to Lapuz area as temporary disposal site of dredged materials.

The DPWH said that Drilon has earmarked P150 million for the construction of Esplanade, a curvilinear park with view decks and walkways and an al-fresco dining along the Treñas Boulevard to be developed as a family park and people’s fun area especially during weekends and holidays.

A design was executed by international-famous architect Paolo G. Alcazaren that will upgrade and develop the existing boulevard into a fun center and family park along the river.

The DPWH will also start developing the Carpenter’s Bridge to the Diversion Bridge followed by the construction of the Iloilo-Jaro Diversion Bridge and a footwalk crossing the Dungon Creek which will be connected to Forbes Bridge.

The site is the project area of JICA fund-assisted Iloilo flood control project that involved the construction of the Treñas Boulevard as a component of the multi-billion peso mega dike flood control project.

Smaller cities like Iloilo now benefitting from BPO industry expansion

http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=681597&publicationSubCategoryId=78

Now more than ever, opportunities in the real estate office market have never been more attractive even in the key cities outside of Metro Manila like Iloilo, Lipa, Bacolod and Davao.

With revenues of close to $9 billion in 2010 or 26 percent more than 2009, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firms have been driving the growth of the office market throughout the country. Until recently, call centers and related firms who require an estimated 300,000 sqm. of additional office space a year had focused operations in Metro Manila and the country’s second largest city, CebuCity. In a search for even more call agents and knowledge workers, BPO firms are now seeking to hire employees in cities outside the two metropolitan centers.

Cities benefitting from BPO presence have been those where local government, academe and real estate developers have collaborated to provide these firms the manpower, facilities and infrastructure they need, according to Phillip Anonuevo, associate director of Jones Lang LaSalle Leechiu (JLLL), a global real estate services firm. He disclosed that JLLL has transacted 80 percent of all the sites outside Metro Manila occupied by BPOs today.

Among the firm’s most recent transactions involved 2,500 sqm. at the Iloilo Technohub in the Mandurriao district. As the tenant representative of Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd., JLLL serves as the company’s strategic adviser offering the company various appropriate options and managing lease negotiations with the goal of maximizing workplace flexibility and productivity. Hinduja is one of India’s biggest BPO players offering client servicing to firms in the West in the insurance, telecom and consumer electronics sectors.

According to Lylah Fronda, JLLL senior manager, Hinduja narrowed down its choice of location to Iloilo City because of three factors: the presence of 17,000 graduates a year who have a natural proficiency to speak English, the opening of the Ayala Land-developed Iloilo Technohub and the recent completion of the 164-megawatt, coal-fired plant Global Business Power Corp. The new power plant offers Iloilo users among the most competitive power rates in the region.

Property giant Ayala Land envisions the Iloilo – AyalaLand Technohub as a three-building complex with support facilities and amenities sought out by BPO firms. The first building in this BPO complex incorporates retail at the ground floor. It is also close to the Smallville Business and Leisure Park and the Boardwalk Leisure Center, which accommodate restaurants and entertainment facilities favored by call center agents.

Anonuevo notes: “All these developments were accomplished with the encouragement of a pro-active local government focused on availing opportunities for pump priming the local economy.”

He observes that a number of critical factors are usually considered by its BPO clients in selecting office space. Key among these are a location that is accredited by the Philippine Export Zone Authority and where business processes are streamlined to allow IT locators to avail of incentives. “ In addition, the location needs to be easily accessible to potential employees and must provide room for the firm’s growth,” he notes. “Locations with food and convenience outlets for the benefit of employees who work through the night when many other stores are closed, are added bonuses.” In addition, all BPO work facilities require back-up power and a cable backbone for multiple data and telecommunication services.

Anonuevo observes that a number of global factors have driven firms operating in multiple locations in various countries to focus on maximizing workplace productivity. In its first Global Corporate Real Estate Survey participated in by 500 executives from global companies managing the real estate needs of their firms, JLLL notes that real estate “typically accounts for 7-12 percent of a business’ total operating cost.” Following the economic uncertainty triggered by the financial crisis of 2008, many global companies are now closely scrutinizing expenses related to corporate real estate.

Anonuevo explains that companies now have a desire “to make the money they spend on corporate real estate work harder and smarter for them.” They have set tougher performance targets and have established relations with service providers like JLLL that can help them make more informed decisions.

In addition to Hinduja, JLLL has likewise represented other leading BPO companies in closing real estate transactions in Baguio, Cebu, Lipa City, and other sites in Laguna and Pampanga. Anonuevo clarifies: “Our experience allows us to provide clients with solid real estate information in key cities throughout the country.”

The beginning of the end: Rommel Ynion disowns his tulisans

Rommel Ynion and his demolition team are either just careless or victims of their own cuckoo-ness. First, Manuel Mejorada (Tulisan extraordinaire) exposes (he, he, what an exhibitionist word) himself as the guy behind “Dispatches from City Hall” on Facebook as a dirty-minded and malicious man. Adobo Ilonggo has a screen grab to prove that. Prior to that in 2007, his email was hacked, leading to some more exposure of his erotic love chats with his kerida . Tulisan Mejorada obviously likes to shoot himself on the foot and this time, the shooting goes big-time and deadly by getting himself “employed” by a pathetic pretender of a “philanthropist” called Rommel Ynion.

It turns out that Mafioso Rommel Ynion is stupider than his minion Manuel Mejorada. From the States (tsk, I missed joining him in his flight supposedly to study in Stanford, as if his brains could handle it), he texted Mayor Jed but inadvertently sent it also to one of his staff at his “newspaper” who in turn sent it to a friend and so on and so forth until it reached Adobo Ilonggo. Before you can shout, “ungas!”, here is Rommel Ynion’s text to Mayor Jed:

Jed, kamusta? I’m in the States… Naku, my own newspaper misquoted me. I also said there was no need for any peace talks because we have never been at war. Ngaa ma peace talk pa kay wala man ta away personal. And people are attributing actions of Mejorada and Fajardo to me. This is not true. They are only reacting to black propaganda in the internet. Ang Adobo Ilonggo naga pa init sa ila… Wala ko daya labot ha. Basi ako naman intriga nila kag pasibangdan. Bag-o lang ko abot San Francisco. I came from Boston. Halong lang da.

This Rommel Ynion is obviously bipolar (no offense to people with relatives or friends who are bipolar) with a penchant for deception that he has already started believing his own lies.

The most telling part of all this is that Rommel Ynion is starting to disown his own tulisans: Mejorada and Fajardo, and will do a Pontius Pilate. But don’t be too kampante, pare ko, because Mejorada, master deceiver, will have the last laugh to the bank all the way from BIR. He has a financial ace up his sleeve.

Go ahead, mad dogs, bite yourselves to death. It will be good for Iloilo City.

Manuel Mejorada, his kerida, and another act of harassment

Today, the great adulterer and media mercenary Manuel “Boy” Mejorada, filed a criminal and administrative complaint against Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog for what else, the usual graft and corruption claims. This time it is over the  COA report regarding Iloilo City’s Solid Waste Management Program of which the fake Green Zone Corporation of Mafioso Rommel Ynion wanted to make money out of. In the past month, when the public found out how grossly disadvantageous Green Zone’s proposal was and that it was a fly-by-night company, Ynion went wild and just could not take no for an answer. And so, here he is harassing Mayor Jed again through Manuel Mejorada.

Adobo Ilonggo was able to take hold of a copy of the complaint-affidavit and in it, complainant Mejorada was described as “married, and a resident of Block 19, Lot 11, Deca Homes, Brgy. Pandac, Pavia, Iloilo.” Mejorada is very proud to let people know, including the Ombudsman Visayas, that he is married but living with another woman he is not legally married to named Ruby  Delena with whom he has two illegitimate children.  He is also proud to let everyone know that his new house is courtesy of Mafioso Rommel Ynion who also gave him a townhouse somewhere in a Luzon town, an Ipad, a gun, tuition for his illegitimate children and about a million pesos.

When Mejorada wanted to run against Boboy Syjuco, he was disqualified because he was not a voter of the second district and did not even have a year’s residency there. And, he is also not a registered voter of Iloilo City. And so, we are not surprised why he does not mind hostaging Iloilo City and its leaders with his fabrications and harassment funded by first class ilegalista and pathetic pretender Rommel Ynion.

Adobo Ilonggo would like you to know what this Manuel Mejorada and his kerida Ruby Delena look like so that when you meet them, you can ask them point-blank why they are making a living out of lying.

Manuel Mejorada and his kerida Ruby Delena. Ruby worked at Iloilo City Hall for 6 months so their “family” would have something to eat while Mejorada was jobless. Not legally married, Ruby carries the surname Mejorada, a clear act of adultery.
